Non-Believing Non-Christians
Christians aren't the only ones who can deconstruct their way out of a stifling supernatural belief system!
If you’ve deconverted from Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Wicca, Paganism, or any of the other non-Christian religions or supernatural belief systems, the CODA Project offers you a logical, well-reasoned approach to living your life outside of organized religion. Although I’m a former Christian with limited knowledge of other religions and belief systems, let me share some thoughts on how the CODA Project can benefit you.
Ex-Believers Welcome!
Deconversion is a significant step, no matter which faith you’ve left behind. It often involves not only the rejection of specific beliefs but also the challenge of redefining your values and finding a new sense of purpose. The CODA Project is here to support you on that journey, offering a space where you can explore life outside the confines of your former religion or organized belief system. My focus is on non-religious beliefs and values, providing a foundation built on logic, ethics, and reason, free from the influence of supernatural doctrines.
Whether you’ve left behind the rituals of Hinduism, the teachings of Buddhism, or the spiritual practices of Wicca, the CODA Project encourages you to reflect on what truly matters to you. I believe that everyone has the capacity to create their own “divine alignment”—a life where your actions, goals, and values are in harmony, all without the need for religious beliefs. This is your opportunity to define your own path, grounded in principles that resonate with your personal experience and understanding of the world.
The CODA Project is not about deconstructing your past but about constructing your future.
From Deconstructing to Constructing
For those coming from a non-Christian background, you might wonder how the CODA Project can offer relevant insights. One of the key resources I’m creating, the Mythologizing the Bible (MTB) webinars, provides a secular analysis of Christian sacred texts. While these sessions focus on the Bible, they are not about promoting Christianity. Instead, they demonstrate how to critically engage with any religious text, understanding it as mythology rather than divine truth. This approach can help you apply similar techniques to the sacred texts of your former religion, allowing you to extract secular values and universal truths while discarding the supernatural elements.
The CODA Project is not about deconstructing your past but about constructing your future. We offer a community where you can explore new ideas, solidify your non-religious beliefs, and build a life that aligns with your values. This is a place where you can find support and encouragement as you navigate life without the constraints of an organized belief system.
Next Steps
If you’re ready to explore life beyond your former religion, here’s how you can engage with the CODA Project:
1. Participate in the Mythologizing the Bible (MTB) webinars: While the focus is on the Christian Bible, these sessions provide valuable tools for secular analysis of any sacred text. You’ll learn to identify and appreciate the secular values and lessons that can be found in religious stories, without the need to believe in the supernatural.
2. Explore the content on our website: Our articles, podcasts, and videos cover a wide range of topics related to personal growth, ethical living, and the development of non-religious values. Whether you’re looking for practical advice or philosophical reflections, there’s something here for everyone who is navigating life post-deconversion.
3. Watch for the Weekly CODA post, launching in the fall of 2024: This series will offer a non-religious alternative to traditional religious gatherings, providing a space for reflection, discussion, and community building. It’s a great way to stay connected to others who are also exploring life beyond organized religion.
The CODA Project is here to help you build a life of purpose and meaning, free from the constraints of your former beliefs.
Welcome to a community that celebrates your courage to deconvert and your commitment to living a life guided by reason, ethics, and your own personal values!
